As a young adult, I lived in the West Indies for a little while, spent one year in London Englandand lived in Andorra. Then, I immigrated to Montreal, in Canada. After one year, I traveled across Canada to move to beautiful British Columbia, where I spent almost twenty years. The most beautiful experience I lived in Canada was on a First Nations reserve where I taught a mixed class of grade 3 Eveyrday 4 students. So proud of them!

June 5, Always following our hearts, inmy family and I moved back to Europe with our beautiful dog. I am a homeschooling parent at heart. I homeschooled my son during six years, and as a teacher I welcome parents as part of our learning team.

I find that recursion helps students gain a sense of mastery and allows them to improve their academic skills. I love making my lessons accessible so that students can gradually become proficient independent learners. I like to think of myself as a learner alongside the students, and I strongly believe that humility is key to building healthy relationships with the students, their families, and my colleagues.
